This evening at 6.45 while I was watching the thunderstorm out of the kitchen window I happened to see a female Great Spotted Woodpecker on the nuts, and on the supporting pole was what looked like a recently fledged Woody, and by using my spare bins that I keep by the window I got great views of the female feeding her youngster little mouthfuls of peanut, and how dainty she was.
That is a 1st for me.
